Remembering Paul S. Frenette

The ISSCR is saddened to learn of the death of Paul Frenette, MD, a wonderful scientist who made significant contributions to stem cell research and who was a friend to the ISSCR community. Dr. Frenette was the founding director of the Ruth L. and David S. Gottesman Institute for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine Research, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, NY, USA. He spoke at a number of ISSCR Annual Meetings, most recently in 2019 in Los Angeles, USA where he presented, "Revitalization of HSC Niche Activity by Reprogramming MSC Function". Dr. Frenette generously contributed his time to support the society, including serving on the Stem Cell Reports Editorial Board.
