ISSCR and Cell Press Renew Publishing Agreement for Stem Cell Reports
The International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) and publisher Cell Press are extending their partnership to publish the ISSCR’s open access, peer-reviewed journal, Stem Cell Reports. For more than a decade, Stem Cell Reports has served as an important point of convergence for the stem cell research and regenerative medicine field.

On 27 October 2023, the ISSCR submitted comments to Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee Ranking Member Bill Cassidy’s Request for Information on reforming the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
The ISSCR Opens Registration and Abstract Submission for 2024 Annual Meeting in Hamburg, Germany
ISSCR 2024 is the most clinically focused annual meeting in the society’s 20+ years. Fueled by basic research and unparalleled development of new technologies, the field is seeing more stem cell-based clinical trials than at any time in history. The meeting serves as an incubator, a catalyst for new advances at each point in the research continuum.
ISSCR Launches Website to Inform Patients and the Public About Stem Cells
“The ISSCR has a long history of sharing scientifically validated information about the potential of stem cell research and clinical advances with the public,” said Amander T. Clark, ISSCR President. “Our reimagined website, AboutStemCells.org, gives us an important avenue to educate the public about the importance of our work, combat misinformation, and raise awareness for the dangers of using unproven and unapproved stem cell-based treatments.”

I have watched the Israel-Hamas war escalate this week with profound sadness and deep concern for those in our community impacted by the violence, devastation, and loss of life. This is an unjust and deeply troubling event on top of many recent attacks against innocent lives around the world.
